The Press Club, Melbourne

When we landed Melbourne, the first thing we did was to find a place to eat!! My friend who did the research for all the good places to dine thought that we should give The Press Club a try. Our hotel is not very far from the restaurant so we decided to take a walk. When we were there, the restaurant is fully booked!! We decided to make a reservation for the following day.

In the morning we went to the Brighton Beach and stopped by Chapel Street to satisfy our shopping crave! By the time we have to leave for our dinner, we were all very tired.

Complimentary Bread & Olives

The interior of the restaurant helps with the sleeping mode!! We decided to share our dishes since we are not very hungry due to a late lunch.

Beef - Rangers Valley scotch, onions kokkinista, Greek mustard, patzari feta dip, patates

The first to arrive is the beef. It also comes with hand cut chips! The chips in Melbourne I ate so far, it's always chunky. The meat is so tender and it's just melted in my mouth! I will leave forget the tenderness of it.

Kakavia - Salmon, Dory, Scallop, Yabby, Calamari, Clams, Celery, Yuzu Latholemono

Then the Kakavia came. This is like a seafood platter. :) The seafood is cooked at it right timing. The calamari is not chewy. The mix with Celery to bring the crunchiness in the dish. It is a surprising dish!!

Horiatiki

We also ordered a side dish Horiatiki which is a village salad. A very freshing taste.

Since we are quite full, we have skipped our dessert. We slowly dragged our tired body back to the hotel!!
